One person died in a hit-and-run crash Monday night, May 11, on Milwaukee’s north side.
Police said the crash happened about 9 p.m. on the 4300 block of West Silver Spring Drive. A driver traveling westbound struck a 71-year-old who had moved into the street, a Milwaukee Police Department news release said.
The driver fled the scene. The victim, who has not yet been identified, died on scene, police said.
No additional information was immediately available about the incident. Police said they are seeking suspects.

More than a dozen people have died so far this year in traffic crashes, according to police department data. Crashes killed 62 people in 2025.
