Cowboys Headlines: Did George Pickens try to get traded? Vet LB news

As the Dallas Cowboys’ rookie minicamp came to a close this past weekend, it seems as though the Cowboys are open to adding more linebackers to the roster. Dallas’ EVP Stephen Jones spoke with the media, signaling the team is open to signing or trading for a veteran at the position. It will be interesting to see how the team addresses one of the biggest needs most fans and media believe has yet to be successfully addressed.

In other news, it seems as though Cowboys receiver George Pickens sought out a trade, hoping to sign a new deal, but couldn’t find any suitors. Now that he’s signed the tag and news of his failed attempt to find a trade partner, Pickens has no choice but to play under the franchise tag in Dallas. Good news for the Cowboys and bad news for Pickens, as he likely still needs to show teams the antics in Pittsburgh are behind him before he can get a new deal from any NFL team.
