Caitlin Clark children's book: Fever star announces November release

Following in the footsteps of fellow Iowa women’s basketball legend Megan Gustafson, Caitlin Clark will add another skill set to her resume by releasing her own children’s book.

Penguin Random House announced on Tuesday, April 28, that Clark’s debut picture book, “EXTRAordinary! A Little EXTRA to Reach BIG Dreams,” will be published by Random House Books for young readers and is expected to be released on Nov. 3, 2026.

According to the news release, Clark’s authored book, illustrated by Adriana Predoi, is geared toward children ages 4-8.

According to the Des Moines Register, the 32-page book shares an inspiring story in rhythmic verse from Clark about living every day with purpose and meaning. The inspiration for the book comes from a mirror that hung in the former Hawkeye icon’s childhood bedroom, with the quote “The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is the little extra.”

“Basketball has given me so many incredible opportunities, but what has always meant the most to me are the people who’ve supported me along the way,” Clark said in a statement. “I hope this book reminds kids that they’re never alone in chasing their dreams and that giving a little extra to the people and moments is what makes them EXTRAordinary.”

Hawkeye fans can pre-order the hardcover version of Clark’s first book for $19.99 in the U.S. through major retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and more. The electronic version of the book retails for $6.99, and an audiobook version is also expected to be offered.
