Iowa women's basketball lands transfer portal guard Jocelyn Faison

Iowa women’s has landed yet another transfer portal commitment, adding former Georgia guard Jocelyn Faison.

The 6-foot-1 native of Atlanta, Ga., recently visited Iowa City on a transfer portal trip and will have three years of NCAA eligibility remaining. A former four-star signee, Faison was ranked as the nation’s No. 79 player, as the No. 16 small forward and as the No. 4 player in Georgia in the 2025 class, per 247Sports.

In her true freshman season with the Bulldogs, Faison saw limited playing time. In 25 games played last season, Faison totaled 32 points, 34 rebounds, 14 assists, six steals, and four blocks while averaging 7.8 minutes per game.

The Bulldogs’ backcourt minutes were primarily occupied by Rylie Theuerkauf, Trinity Turner, Enjulina Gonzalez, Savannah Henderson, and recent Hawkeye signee Dani Carnegie.

Faison follows Carnegie from Georgia to Iowa and also joins former Oklahoma State guard Amari Whiting among the Hawkeyes’ transfer portal additions.
