The cowboy boots and hats have been put away for another year, but some are feeling an achy breaky heart from arrests and citations issued at the 2026 Stagecoach country music festival.
There were a total of 119 arrests at this year’s weekend-long event, which took place Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. That’s down 21% from 151 arrests that were made in 2025.
Of those 2026 arrests, 41 were for false identification, seven for possession of drug crimes and five for drug/alcohol/intoxication. Additionally, 66 were classified as “other,” of which 58 were for underage possession of alcohol, according to the Indio Police Department.
No property crime arrests were reported by the police.
A total of 49 handicap-related citations were issued, including 48 for the unlawful use of a disabled person placard and one for “other.”
By comparison, 97 arrests were made during Weekend 1 of the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and 106 arrests during Weekend 2.
