CBS Sports' seven-round mock draft only includes one Wisconsin player

In a seven-round mock draft compiled by CBS Sports, the Wisconsin Badgers have just one selection.

There’s no doubt their football program has been down these past few years, but no Big Ten team wants to have only one player go pro.

Ryan Wilson worked on the mock draft with seven of his colleagues. Ultimately, Shanna McCarriston chose wide receiver Vinny Anthony II would be selected No. 242 overall by the New York Jets.

In a draft that features nine selections by the Jets, Anthony is the last off the board for Aaron Glenn’s squad. Recently, ESPN’s Jordan Reid also had former Wisconsin wideout Anthony being selected.

If there were a Badger to be drafted, Anthony is a good one to choose. The three-year Wisconsin receiver had a quiet 2023 season before breaking out these last two years.

Anthony’s career highs came in 2024 when he hauled in 39 passes for 672 yards and four touchdowns. Overall, he’s averaged at least 12.6 yards per reception each of the last two seasons and led the team in yards in 2024 while finishing second this past season.
