The Guardians are still without Jose Ramirez, Chase DeLauter and Angel Martinez, all of whom are the injured list as Cleveland searches for offense to replace them.

Colt Emerson, an Ohio native, has tied it up with a solo home run to right field in the top of the third inning. It was the first hit allowed by Joey Cantillo, who had breezed through the lineup until that moment.
It’s 1-1 heading to the bottom of the third.

In his first MLB at-bat, Cooper Ingle ran into a curious situation: do you have the green light on a 3-0 pitch in your very first at-bat?
The answers appears to be yes, as Ingle was given a pitch that caught plenty of the plate, and he swung away, grounding into an inning-ending groundout.
Guardians-Mariners score update
The Guardians have struck first. In the bottom of the first inning, Khalil Watson — hitting cleanup due to the series of injuries to Cleveland’s lineup — drove a double off the wall in left field to score Kyle Manzardo, giving Joey Cantillo and the Guardians a 1-0 lead.
