Madonna said Monday, April 20, she is offering a reward for information leading to the recovery of the outfit she wore on stage, which went missing after her surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio.
“This full circle moment hit different until I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing — my costume that was pulled from my personal archives — jacket, corset, dress and all other garments,” Madonna wrote on Instagram.
The Indio Police Department said a representative for Madonna filed a missing property report around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. The missing clothes and jewelry were last seen on a golf cart at the festival grounds around 1:30 a.m. that same day, the department added.
Police believe staff was driving a golf cart to put Madonna’s things onto a bus when two bags possibly fell. They realized the bags were missing when they got to the hotel.
There isn’t evidence so far that someone stole the items, the police department said. It asked if anyone found Madonna’s things to turn them in at 46800 Jackson Street in Indio or call the police department as 760-391-4057.
Madonna returned to Coachella for the first time in two decades to join Carpenter onstage on Friday and announce her upcoming album, “Confessions on a Dance Floor II.”
Although she said on social media she was “still flying high since Friday night at Coachella” and excited to announce her new album at a place she’d played 20 years ago, Madonna said the missing items are part of her personal history. Images of the items were posted on her Instagram account.
The amount of the reward was not disclosed. The post asked anyone with information to contact Madonna’s team at Infomaverick2026@gmail.com.
