SPRINGFIELD — A man who died from injuries after being crushed by a lawn tractor has been identified.
Daniel Crumrine, 51, was identified by Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon.
Crumrine, a Springfield Park District employee, was found under a mower at Lincoln Greens Golf Course on March 26.
Crumrine was taken by emergency medical services from the golf course to the emergency room at HSHS St. John’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 11:20 a.m.
Allmon released the findings of an autopsy done on March 27.
Allmon told The State Journal-Register that it appears the Crumrine was working on the mower when it fell on him. Crumine was found in a parking lot.
The Springfield Park District released a statement, saying the agency is “shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic accident.”
The park district’s thoughts and prayers are with the family, the statement continued.
The death remains under investigation by the Springfield Park Police and the Sangamon County Coroner.
