Former U.S. President Barack Obama has released his NCAA Tournament bracket predictions, and the basketball fanatic is high on the Iowa State Cyclones.
As one of America’s best-known hoops junkies, Obama creates some pre-tournament buzz each year when he announces his picks on social media.
On the men’s side, Obama has Iowa State, Duke, Arizona and home-state Illinois in his Final Four. He has Arizona beating the Cyclones in the national semifinals, and then beating Duke in the championship game.
Obama has Iowa beating Clemson and then losing to No. 1 seed Florida in the second round. He predicts St. John’s will end UNI’s season in the first round.
On the women’s side, the former president has all the No. 1 seeds in the Final Four — UCLA, South Carolina, Texas and UConn. Obama has Iowa losing in the Sweet 16 vs. TCU, and Iowa State losing in the second round to UConn.
