Discount retailer Ross Dress for Less is continuing its national expansion, opening new stores across multiple states — including two in New York.
New York locations open on Long Island
The company recently opened new stores in:
Both locations are part of a broader rollout of 13 new Ross stores and four DD’s Discounts stores that opened between February and March.
Expansion plans continue
Ross plans to open about 110 new stores in 2026, including roughly 85 Ross locations and 25 DD’s Discounts stores. The company said the expansion follows strong performance in 2025. As of mid-March, Ross operates more than 1,900 stores nationwide, along with more than 300 DD’s Discounts locations.
Rochester-area store coming soon
A new Ross store is also planned for Irondequoit Plaza at 525 Titus Ave. in the Rochester, New York, area. A “coming soon” sign has been posted at the former Big Lots location, and interior renovations are underway. The 27,000-square-foot space has been vacant since late 2024. If completed on schedule, construction is expected to wrap up by June. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
Growing footprint in the region
The Irondequoit store would be the third Ross location in the Rochester market:
Ross stores sell discounted clothing, footwear and home goods as part of the company’s off-price retail model.
