More details are emerging after a Florida woman was arrested in connection with a shooting at the Beverly Hills home of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky — an incident that unfolded in broad daylight in one of Los Angeles’ most high-profile neighborhoods.
Police say no one was injured, but the suspect is now facing an attempted murder charge, with bail set in the eight-figure range.

What police say happened at the Beverly Hills home
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a 35-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida, was arrested Sunday, March 8, after allegedly firing several rounds from her vehicle toward the couple’s Beverly Hills residence, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of the shooting around 1:15 p.m. and took Ortiz into custody without incident, LAPD confirmed. A weapon was also recovered at the scene.
Investigators say Ortiz allegedly fled the area in a Tesla, which officers later tracked to the Sherman Oaks Galleria mall, where she was arrested in a parking lot.
Photos and video from the scene show what appear to be bullet holes in the front gate of the property.
Who is Ivanna Lisette Ortiz?
Ortiz is an Orlando resident who authorities say traveled to Southern California before the shooting.
According to reports from ABC7 Los Angeles and Florida-based Fox 35 Orlando, investigators believe Ortiz used an AR‑style weapon during the incident. A possible motive has not been publicly identified.
Multiple outlets report Ortiz had posted several disturbing and erratic messages on social media in recent months that referenced Rihanna, though police have not said whether those posts are directly tied to the shooting.
Ortiz has a prior arrest history. Records cited by NBC Investigates Los Angeles show she was arrested in Florida in 2023 on suspicion of domestic violence battery and violating a domestic injunction.
She has since been booked on an attempted murder charge. Bail has been set at more than $10 million.

Several Los Angeles-area news outlets, including ABC7 and NBC4, report that Rihanna, A$AP Rocky and their children were home at the time of the shooting.
