After one blissful day of spring-like temperatures, a steady snowstorm brought whiplash to southern Wisconsin residents Saturday, Feb. 28.
The Milwaukee area got 2-plus inches of snow, while Madison reached 3 inches. Totals were even higher in the western third of the state, along the Mississippi River.
The snow won’t last long. After a sunny Monday with a high near 39 degrees, rain chances are in the forecast nearly every day this week, with Tuesday and Friday looking the most likely for precipitation.
While the snow is still on the ground, here are the totals from Feb. 28, according to the National Weather Service.
