Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches announces leadership

The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches has announced its leadership for the 2025–2026 year. The chamber’s board of directors brings together some of the most respected leaders in Palm Beach County, united in advancing the mission of supporting growth, opportunity, and connection. The board will be led by chair, James Johnson, a shareholder and director of investment operations at Blue Ocean Capital; chair elect, Allen Gast of Gast Construction; secretary, David Gobeo of Ford Harrison LLP; treasurer, Katie Block, Related Ross; past chair, Michael Davis, WGI and general counsel, Telsula C. Morgan, Lewis, Longman & Walker, P.A. Established in 1913, the Chamber is the leading voice for business in Palm Beach County.

Palm Springs appoints police chief

The village recently appointed Rolando Silva as chief of police. Chief Silva brings decades of executive law enforcement leadership, legal expertise, and a strong commitment to community-oriented policing. His appointment represents an exciting new chapter for the Palm Springs Police Department as it continues its mission of delivering professional, transparent, and community-focused public safety services.

Non-profit sector leader named Trustbridge Hospice Foundation president

Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the region’s leading non-profit hospice and palliative care provider, is proud to announce the appointment of Donald Du Chateau as its new president. Du Chateau, a seasoned leader in the non-profit sector, brings more than two decades of experience in strategic development and community impact to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief development officer at So Others Might Eat in Washington, D.C., where he led comprehensive efforts to secure vital resources for vulnerable populations.

Advisory Council on Historic Preservation welcomes architect in key role

Advisory Council on Historic Preservation vice chairman Travis Voyles recently welcomed Rick Gonzalez, AIA, of West Palm Beach, as an expert member. The council is an independent federal agency that, according to its website, is comprised of 24 statutorily designated members from federal agencies, preservation organizations, Indian Tribes, and expert private citizens. Gonzalez was appointed by President Donald J. Trump and was sworn in on Jan. 9 to a term ending in 2027. Gonzalez previously served as an expert member, including a period as vice chairman, from 2020 to 2023. “We are thankful that President Trump reappointed Rick Gonzalez to the Council. He brings a wealth of experience, having served on the ACHP as an expert member and as vice chairman during the first Trump administration,” Voyles said. Gonzalez is a nationally recognized architect with more than four decades of experience shaping landmark projects across Florida.

Boynton group awards Boynton Beach city manager, city government

The Boynton Beach Chamber of Industry & Commerce Government & Community Council recently hosted an event featuring Boynton Beach City Manager Dan Dugger, MBA. Dugger, and Boynton Beach’s city government, were awarded an Honorary Lifetime Membership by the group. This distinction recognizes the city’s steady leadership and commitment to building strategic partnerships that support local businesses, encourage investment, and strengthen Boynton Beach’s economic foundation. The Boynton Beach Chamber of Industry and Commerce unites members and residents to create a vibrant city while providing essential tools and support for all businesses.

Criminal defense attorney appointed chair of PBC Criminal Justice Commission

Michelle Suskauer, managing partner of The Suskauer Law Firm, P.A. and a nationally recognized criminal defense attorney, began her two-year term on Jan. 1 as chair of the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission. She will oversee the commission’s advisory work related to criminal justice policy and system coordination in Palm Beach County. Suskauer currently serves as president of the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County.

Mathison Whittles bolsters lawyer roster with addition

Lauren Alevizos recently joined the law firm of Mathison Whittles LLC in Palm Beach Gardens. A graduate of Boston College, where she earned her degree in economics and communications, cum laude, she went on to receive her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. Alevizos has become an integral part of their litigation practice and also contributes to select real estate matters.

Jewish Residential & Family Service welcomes director of disability

Antonio Dimovski has joined Melvin J. & Clarie Levine Jewish Residential & Family Service as the director of disability services. Jewish Residential & Family Service is a partner agency of Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service in West Palm Beach. In his new role, Dimovski oversees operations, staff development, compliance, and strategic initiatives that strengthen services for individuals and families.
