PANAMA CITY BEACH − Costa Family McDonald’s has announced it has rescheduled its grand opening to June 9.
According to a news release, the rescheduling is because of ongoing construction at the new location.
“Due to ongoing construction timelines and final preparations for the space, the grand opening celebration for Costa Family McDonald’s Alf Coleman location has been rescheduled,” the release says. “The additional time will allow the team to ensure every detail is complete and ready to provide guests with the best possible experience.”
The grand opening will now take place June 9 with a special ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. at 11852 Panama City Beach Parkway.
Previously, the grand opening was expected to be May 19, according to a previous story in the News Herald.
As part of the festivities, the Costa family also will present checks to local police and fire departments as well as Arnold High School and Hutchinson Beach Elementary School.
The first 50 drive-thru customers will receive free Happy Meals for a year. Guests can begin lining up as early as 6 a.m.
