El Paso voters: Your guide to the Texas Super Tuesday primary, early voting and ID

In one week, voters across Texas will get their first opportunity to weigh in on the Super Tuesday primary.

The primary election weeds the field of Democratic and Republican candidates down to one from each party who will appear on the November General Election ballot.

Along with a contentious U.S. Senate battle and the gubernatorial race, El Pasoans will pick their candidates for El Paso County Judge and two seats on the El Paso County Commissioners Court.

Here is some key information before voting begins next week.

When does early voting start?

The early voting period in El Paso kicks off Tuesday, Feb. 17, and runs through Friday, Feb. 27, giving voters 11 days to cast their ballots.

The Super Tuesday primary will take place Tuesday, March 3.

Early voting locations are open at various times. For a full list of times, visit the El Paso County Elections Department website. Registered voters can cast a ballot at any of the following 39 early voting locations across El Paso County:

Am I registered to vote in the 2026 election?

Voters in El Paso County can check their registration status and eligibility online through the El Paso County Elections Department’s Voter Dashboard.

To access the dashboard, voters must provide their first and last name and date of birth or their Voter Unique Identifier (VUID).

Who’s on the ballot? Check sample ballots

Sample ballots for the Democratic and Republican parties are available online at the El Paso County Elections Department website.

Personalized ballots specific to local district races, such as Commissioners Court or Justice of the Peace positions, can be accessed via the Department’s Voter Dashboard.

Forms of ID needed to vote

Voters will need one of the following seven forms of photo identification to cast a ballot in the primary:

Voters who do not have or cannot reasonably obtain one of the accepted forms of photo identification can complete a Reasonable Impediment Declaration at the voting site and provide one of the following supporting documents:
