The newest installment of the “Scary Movie” franchise just revealed what appears to be its newest popcorn bucket, and the internet immediately noticed the “multi-purpose” design.
The film, along with Miramax, Paramount and actor Marlon Wayans partnered in an Instagram post on May 21, showcasing “The popcorn bucket theatres were never ready for” — a popcorn-filled bong. The video debuted four different sizes, meant for fans to choose “the piece that is just right.”
An hour later, “Scary Movie,” which releases in theaters on Friday June 5, made an additional Instagram post, showcasing the iconic villain Ghostface with the ‘popcorn bucket’ in hand, with billowing smoke.
“Wondering what he’s been up to…I’ve seen some popcorn buckets in my day, but this one smokes the competition.” the post read.
Fans couldn’t help but wonder if the popcorn bucket will actually appear in theaters.
“IS THIS REAL,” one person simply wrote.
“Does it work like a real one? My grandma is asking,” another comment playfully said.

‘Scary Movie’ popcorn bucket release date
While the film releases in theaters on Friday, June 5, it’s not clear if and when the bong popcorn bucket will make its debut – there’s no date on the Instagram posts.
El Paso Times reached out to Miramax for confirmation on possible release date but has not heard back as of yet.
