3 weekend events you don’t want to miss Feb. 5-8 in Stevens Point

Valentine’s Pop-Up

Mission Coffee House will host a Valentine’s Craft and PaperPie Pop Up for Kids from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 5 at the Plover coffee house at 1800 Plover Road. The event will include a free kids craft and an opportunity to shop PaperPie books at the pop-up book shop. Winter Fisheree

The Bill Cook Chapter of the Izaak Walton League is hosting its 62nd annual Winter Fisheree from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 7 at The Waters Pub & Pier at 736 Old Wausau Road in Stevens Point. The fishing tournament will include a $20 entry fee, although fishers younger than 16 can fish for free. The event will also include live music from The Foragers Bluegrass Trio from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., burgers, drinks and a raffle drawing at 4 p.m. with raffle tickets $5 each, three tickets for $10, or 12 raffle tickets for $20. Proceeds will benefit local conservation projects like stream improvements, forestry, wildlife protection, scholarships, youth activities, anti-pollution efforts and Schmeeckle Reserve. Big Brew & Booyah Bash

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Wisconsin and District 1 Brewing Company will host Big Brew & Booyah Bash from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 7 at 200 Division St. in Stevens Point. Guests can sample craft beer, wine, spirits and booyah inside. An outdoors area will include bonfires and hot beer poking. The event will also feature music and raffles. Tickets are $40 for the tasting in advance and $50 at the door, and $20 for the designated driver.
