Each week The Herald-Tribune staff will select nominees for the Herald-Tribune Girls Athlete of the Week poll sponsored by Central Florida Behavioral Network, Inc. Nominees are derived from scores and stats emailed in by Sarasota and Manatee county coaches during the week to htincoming@gmail.com. Readers can then vote in the online poll to determine the Girls Athlete of the Week.
The Herald-Tribune Girls Athlete of the Week sponsored by Central Florida Behavioral Health Network for Nov. 17-29, 2025, was Booker High basketball player Kennedy Guy, who won the poll with 41.2% of the vote. Guy has averaged 13.8 points per game through a 3-1 start for Booker, including a 20-point game against Sumner.
A poll will be posted at heraldtribune.com each Monday, and voting will end at 10 a.m. Friday each week.

Basketball
Acelia Beals, North Port
Beals, a junior guard, scored 18, 31 and 17 points across three games for the Bobcats.
Paisley Binswanger, Sarasota
Binswanger, a senior guard, scored 31 points in a 57-50 loss to Riverview.
Brooklyn Dominguez, Venice
Dominguez, a junior guard, scored 16 points in a 47-36 loss to Riverview.
Camaya Johnson, Palmetto
Johnson, a sophomore, scored 11 points with four rebounds and seven steals in a blowout win over Bayshore.
Soccer
Karen Campos, Palmetto
Campos, a junior, scored five goals across two wins for the Tigers over Sebring and Bayshore.
Alyssa Pistone, Lakewood Ranch
Pistone, a freshman midfielder, scored both of the Mustangs’ goals in a 2-1 win over Sunlake.
Jordynn Roberts, Braden River
Roberts, a sophomore midfielder, had three assists and two goals across two wins for the Pirates over Manatee and Sarasota.
Arya Tanrisever, Parrish Community
Tanrisever, a freshman midfielder, scored two goals and assisted on a goal in a 3-2 win over North Port.
