The Andress Eagles are headed to the area round of the Class 5A, Division 2 football playoffs.
The Eagles scored the first 21 points of the game, then held off a second-half rally by Wichita Falls Memorial for a 28-14 win at Andress High School.
Andress recovered two fumbles and had a goal-line stand to lead 14-0 at halftime.
Julian Guzman scored on a two-yard run, and quarterback Jamari Milton found Vincent Gonzales on a six-yard touchdown pass for the two first-half scores.
Guzman added a scoring run in the second half and Milton connected with Jordan Owens on a touchdown pass for the final score of the game. Wichita Falls Memorial quarterback Joe Castles threw two touchdown passes to keep the Mavericks in the game.
Andress is 9-2, the Mavericks finish 7-4.
