A new housing option is coming to El Paso’s Lower Valley.
Innovated Custom Homes is planning to build a new apartment complex along Alameda Avenue.
Nationally, the need for apartments has been on the rise for several reasons, including rising home payments and rents, a lag in the supply of new homes and shifts in demographics and market trends.
Where is it?
The new Innovated Custom Homes apartment complex will be located at 7639 Alameda Ave., according to the city’s permit and licensing page.
The new apartment complex is next door to La Dulceria Candies n More and just across the street from Elite Motors. Just past the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Midway Drive, the new complex is near Riverside High and Middle Schools.
What was there before?
The Innovated Custom Homes apartment complex is being built atop what was formerly an automotive lot.
The project is set to span nearly 11,800 square feet, though the city’s website does not provide information on how many buildings or units might be constructed.
Who is the contractor?
The licensed professional listed for the project is Jose Hernandez of Innovated Custom Homes in El Paso. The applicant is Nurys Zarate of El Paso, and the owners are Marquez, Sergio and Roman of El Paso, according to the city’s website.
There are no details on the project’s cost.
