One of Cincinnati’s newest and hottest restaurants has been recognized nationally.
Yelp’s Best New Restaurants 2025 list placed the upscale, American Court Street Kitchen among the culinary titans of New York and San Francisco.
The Downtown restaurant opened in early 2024 in the recently renovated Court Street Plaza. It joined a string of other restaurants that bring atmosphere and variety into the heart of Cincinnati.
Here’s how it held up in food review aggregator, Yelp’s, nationwide list.
Cincinnati restaurant ranks eighth best in United States
Court Street Kitchen is the eighth-best new restaurant in the United States, coming in just below a San Francisco-based Thai-fusion restaurant.
Described as “eclectic New American cuisine,” Yelp celebrated the restaurants’ diverse menu, consistency and novel take on classic dishes.
Operating manager Braheam Shteiwi told Yelp the restaurant is a “culmination of dishes I’ve enjoyed in my hospitality career and travels, plus favorites my parents cooked (in their restaurants).”
In 2019, Shteiwi reopened his father’s restaurant, Caruso’s Ristorante & Bar, in Fairfield.
There’s also a Japanese touch, Yelp said, as the executive head chef’s familiarity with Asian flavor invigorates familiar dishes.
Yelp also praised the atmosphere of the restaurant, which consists of a main dining room with an elevated bar, an outdoor patio and a lounge where DJ plays on weekends.
Whether you’re looking for a “power lunch, a romantic dinner, or a No Boys Allowed Brunch,” Yelp said it’s worth a visit.
Court Street Kitchen is located at 7 E. Court St., Cincinnati. It has 4.6 stars with 69 reviews on Yelp and 4.7 stars with 253 reviews on Google.
