Remember when cornerback L’Jarius Sneed decided to “not know” who Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was before the AFC South champions shut out the Tennessee Titans at NRG Stadium?
Well, Collins elected not to talk smack before the game. He made sure to address the chatter after a 26-0 win that was catapulted thanks to his 38-yard catch on a 2nd-and-33 in the third quarter.
“I don’t say much, I just play,” Collins said following his performance. “You can talk all you want, I’m not hearing it. Just line that sh– up.”
While Sneed did keep Collins out of the end zone, he did allow four catches for 74 yards. After the big catch, Houston scored 20 unanswered points, factoring into three red zone touchdowns from C.J. Stroud and company.
After the game, Sneed owned up to the pregame chatter not translating to the on-field success en route to a 10th straight loss.
“It’s all good. We all get beat,” Sneed said of the specific play against Collins. “He gets paid like I get paid. Shout out to him. He’s a great player.”
The Texans hit the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens next week at M&T Bank Stadium at noon CT.
