With Iowa football’s 47-7 win over UMass on Saturday, Sept. 13, Hawkeyes quarterback Mark Gronowski made history.
It marked Gronowski’s 51st career win as a Div. I QB, breaking his tie with Boise State’s Kellen Moore for the most of all time. The signal caller won the first 49 games of his college career at the FCS level with South Dakota State, where he won two national titles. The UMass victory is his second win with Iowa.
Gronowski enjoyed by far his best performance as a Hawkeye in the win, completing 16-of-24 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed six times for 12 yards and a score.
