Your vote will determine who will be the Faber Builders Boys Sports Athlete of the Week for September 1-7. The players’ credentials are listed above the poll — which will be live until 8 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will be announced on our Instagram page Thursday.
The nominees are chosen by our sports reporters. If you would like to call attention to an athlete’s performance to be considered for the nomination, please email sports@democratandchronicle.com. All athletes who play on Section V boys teams are eligible to be nominated.

Ryland Dunham
Geneva senior had two goals, including the golden goal, in a 2-1 double overtime victory over Penn Yan on Thursday in Section V boys soccer.
Mason Endres
Spencerport’s volleyball star recorded 33 digs and five aces during a five set win over Gates Chili.
Sean Griffin
Fairport senior recorded a hat trick in Thursday’s shutout win over Irondequoit in Section V boys soccer. Griffin added another goal in Saturday’s win against Hilton.
JT Lawrence
Wayne junior had the winning goal in the final seconds of overtime in the Eagles’ 1-0 win over Geneva in Section V boys soccer on Tuesday.
Ty Sherman
Brockport goalkeeper preserved a 1-0 shutout win over Canandaigua on Saturday in Section V boys soccer, denying multiple shots on a penalty kick in the final seconds.
Joe Walsh
Bloomfield golfer carded a 2-under 34 in Thursday’s match against South Seneca-Romulus. Walsh converted three birdies in nine holes, and helped Bloomfield score a 193 which is a program record.
