Oops! Wrong sign posted on Leesburg county road

LEESBURG — Leesburg resident and digital creator Natasha Reid saw something puzzling on Friday, Sept. 5, and shared it on the Bassville Park Word of Mouth Facebook page.

A wrong County Road 437 sign (Sorrento) was posted at the corner of Moore Street and County Road 473 in Leesburg.

The Daily Commercial has contacted the county to find out what happened and if it will be corrected.

“Our traffic operations team is headed out to correct this right now,” said the Lake County public information officer on Sept. 5, but did not explain why the mistake occurred in the first place. Perhaps, a trick of the eye.
