GREEN BAY − The Green Bay Packers took part in a full padded practice Sept. 3 in preparation for their season opener against NFC North rival Detroit Lions on Sept. 7.
Only two players were not in pads during team practice and one starter returned.

Here’s who missed and returned to practice:
Jayden Reed is out
Wide receiver Jayden Reed has been battling a Jones fracture in his left foot since training camp.
He practiced with the team Sept. 1, but was not in pads and stayed inside the Don Hutson Center during the media’s open portion of practice Sept. 3.
Nate Hobbs nearing return?
Cornerback Nate Hobbs hasn’t practiced since early in camp as he’s recovering from knee surgery he had at the beginning of August.
He stretched with the team during warmups and did separate reps outside as the team practiced. He was in a helmet only and no pads.
Elgton Jenkins back but limited
Center Elgton Jenkins has been battling a back injury, but was listed on the injury report with a hip injury, forcing him to miss practice Sept. 1.
He returned to the Sept. 3 practice, but Packers coach Matt LaFleur said it was in a limited basis.
Micah Parsons practicing again
LaFleur said in his pre-practice news conference Sept. 3 that he’s “hopeful” defensive end Micah Parsons will play against the Lions as he’s still in the process of working through some back soreness.
He was in full pads and went through practice with the team. The Packers will monitor how he’s feeling as he goes through the remaining workouts Sept. 4 and 5.
Packers official injury report
The team listed Hobbs (knee) and Reed (foot) as the two players held out.
Zayne Anderson (knee), Elgton Jenkins (hip), Micah Parsons (back), Barryn Sorrell (knee), Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (hamstring) were listed as limited participants.
