Port Huron, MI – Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) is proud to recognize Ashley Lonsby, RN, DOU, as its First Quarter WOW Employee of the Month.
Ashley, who joined LHMC in October 2023, was selected from the January, February, and March WOW Monthly winners for her exceptional compassion, dedication, and commitment to patient care. She was nominated by a patient who experienced firsthand the impact of Ashley’s care during a recent hospital stay.
The patient shared: “Ashley was my midnight nurse for three nights…This nurse truly cares for her patients like she would her own mother. I have been in the medical field for 20 years and have not had nursing care that made such an impact on me. Ashley is a diamond in this post-pandemic time in the medical field…She is one of, if not, the best nurse in this hospital. My nurse, Ashley, put on a superhero cape and took care of me.”
This recognition highlights Ashley’s commitment to going above and beyond for her patients – providing not only clinical excellence, but also comfort, reassurance and genuine human connection. Her ability to create a supportive and compassionate environment reflects the highest standards of nursing care.
