New York Giants' Malik Nabers among NFL's top 25 intriguing players of 2025

When you think of the New York Giants these days, one player pops out: Second-year wide receiver Malik Nabers.

In just 15 games last season, Nabers set an NFL rookie record for receptions by a wide receiver with 109, and more is expected come this season.

Fittingly, Mike Jones of The Athletic recently listed Nabers as his 18th most-intriguing player for the 2025 season.

The LSU product had to deal with a revolving door at quarterback last season and still put up 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns on 109 catches. Selected to both the Pro Bowl and PFWA All-Rookie team, Nabers’ 109 receptions set a new record for catches by a rookie wideout. What could he do with a more stable quarterback situation?

Good question. Nabers will have three new quarterbacks (Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and rookie Jaxson Dart) throwing the ball to him this season, a huge upgrade from the likes of Daniel Jones, Tyrod Taylor, and Drew Lock.

Nabers is especially looking forward to working with Wilson.

“When your quarterback is able to pick apart a defense as good as Russ is, know what’s going on, know where he wants to go with the ball, it makes the receiver’s job a whole lot easier,” he said. “Rather than me hearing his thoughts, already knowing what he’s thinking, where to be, body language, and stuff like that. It’s been good.”

The first look at the Wilson-Nabers combination will come on Sunday when the Giants visit the Washington Commanders.
