Ceres Environmental is starting debris removal in San Angelo by zones. Here’s what to know about getting your trash picked up.
The San Angelo City Council approved $1 million for a task order with Ceres to haul away flood debris in a meeting on July 10.
See the debris collection map online at sanangelo.gov/July4.
Collection began on Monday with crews focusing first on zone 1 and the portion of zone 3 along 37th Street.
Debris removal operations will take place daily from approximately 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release.
“Ceres will make multiple passes through affected neighborhoods,” the release stated. “To ensure your debris is collected, please refer to the debris sorting guide for instructions on how to properly separate materials. Unsorted debris will not be picked up.”
The city will share updated pickup schedules as debris collection progresses.
If you need assistance moving your items, contact Tom Green County Commissioner Rick Bacon at 325-234-4261. Residents can also text their addresses to Bacon.
Also beginning Monday, the Disaster Resource Center at 506 N. Chadbourne will extend its hours to 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
FEMA personnel will be on-site to assist with federal disaster assistance applications. Community agencies will also be available to help with intake and provide additional support services.
