Corpus Christi Animal Care Services is hosting its inaugural Summer Fest Adoption Special, where all adoption fees are waived for people wanting to add a pet to their family.
The summer event will last until July 31.
Every animal available for adoption is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped and will be spayed or neutered.
The shelter is approaching full capacity, and its goal is to showcase its adoptable animals to help ease the burden on Animal Care Services.
Residents who can’t adopt can participate in the foster program, which provides assistance to many animals until they are ready for adoption, according to Animal Care Services.
The summer event could possibly foster similar programs in the future if successful.
Those interested in adopting may visit the shelter from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 2626 Holly Road or visit bit.ly/ACSadopt to view available pets and learn more about the adoption process.
