One person died and four others were injured in a three-vehicle crash July 4 in Licking Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Deron Lee, 30, of Baltimore, Maryland, was driving a 2007 Ford Explorer south on State Route 13 near U.S. Highway 40 around 2:55 p.m. when he briefly left the road before sideswiping a Kia Telluride driven by Adrian Balser, 35, of Thornville.
Lee’s vehicle overturned and rolled south, colliding with another vehicle driven by Mark Arthurs, 61, of Thornville.
Lee died at the scene, according to a Highway Patrol news release. Balser was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, while a juvenile passenger was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.
Arthurs and his passenger were treated on the scene for minor injuries, according to the release.
As of July 5, the crash remained under investigation, according to the release.
