All evacuation orders, warnings and road closures have been lifted for the Juniper Fire, which first erupted Monday morning near Mead Valley.
The fire was at 755 acres on Wednesday morning, according to an update by Cal Fire at 8:50 a.m. Containment had increased to 95%.
“Firefighters worked throughout the day strengthening containment lines and will continue their work throughout today,” Cal Fire said in the latest status report. “Multiple engines and hand crews are assigned.”
The Juniper Fire is focused near the intersection Idaleona Road and Juniper Road, in an unincorporated area of Perris. Previously, a portion of Santa Rosa Mine Road had been closed and evacuation orders had been in place for an area north of Rocky Hills Road and south of Orange Avenue and covering west of Forrest Road and east of El Nido Road.
A total of 165 personnel had been assigned to the blaze, including 15 engines, two dozers and four water tenders. But by Wednesday morning, only 15 personnel and five engines remained assigned to it.
