The July 3, 2024 crash on state Route 371 in the town of Cohocton killed 26-year-old Adrian V. Gregory-Kielbasa of Angelica, a passenger in a 2017 Dodge Caravan driven by Ellsessor.

Police said the preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was northbound on state Route 371 when it passed another vehicle in a no-passing zone.

The Dodge Caravan then spun out of control, left the road and rolled over, troopers said.

Gregory-Kielbasa was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Ellsessor was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for minor injuries, police said.

The crash took place at about 5 p.m.

State Police said Ellsessor was initially held for arraignment. Additional court information was not released.
