UPDATE: Happy Valley fire's forward progress stopped. Blaze burned less than 5 acres

Crews stopped the forward progress of a vegetation in Happy Valley that forced the evacuation of some homes in the area.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said the Happy Fire burned 4 acres before crews stopped the fire’s forward progress on Friday afternoon.

Evacuation warnings were lifted Friday night for residents who live in zones AND-7580, AND-7590 and AND-7610, Cal Fire reported.

The fire was dispatched around 3:15 p.m. on Friday in the area of Happy Valley Road and Amber Ridge Drive.
