Mishawaka police ask for public camera footage to catch person who shot out many windows

Mishawaka residents are asked review their outdoor cameras for evidence after 14 vehicles and a residence at a trailer park were damaged by BB gunfire over the weekend.

Mishawaka Police are investigating the acts of criminal mischief they say took place overnight between May 31 and June 1.

The damage from the BB guns caused broken and shattered windows in cars in the 700 block through 1200 block of East Third Street and in the 1400 block of Southwood Drive and shot a hole in the siding of a home at a trailer park off of Fir Road.

Police are seeking suspects in connection to this criminal mischief and told The Tribune as of Monday morning there hasn’t been any updates in the case. The department believes these incidents are connected, they said.

Police ask residents in the area to send footage of any suspicious person or criminal mischief to the department’s detective bureau at 574-258-1684. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to place an anonymous tip with Michiana Crime Stoppers online, on the app or by calling 574-288-7867. Tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a monetary reward.
