One person died early Tuesday morning following a single-car crash in Riga, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash occurred on Chili Riga Center Road, near Palmer Road. The driver – a man – was alone in his vehicle, deputies said. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, but died early Tuesday from his injuries.
Further details of the crash were not released, including the driver’s name.
A stretch of Chili Riga Center Road was closed for several hours overnight.
Deputies are investigating the crash.
