After experiencing five earthquakes since mid-February, the Malibu area felt a few more over the weekend.
On Sunday, March 30, the Malibu coast was shaken by a trio of quakes centered in the Pacific Ocean, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The first quake, a magnitude 2.9, occurred at 3:35 p.m., 17 miles south of Malibu.
The second, a magnitude 3.1, occurred at 8:27 p.m., 14 miles south southeast of Malibu.
A third quake, a magnitude 2.0, happened at 9:43 p.m., 18 miles south of Malibu.
A magnitude 2.0, occurred at 2:26 a.m. on March 31, near the Channel Islands south of Malibu.
Other quakes near the Malibu area this year include:
No injuries or damages were reported.
