Are We Nuts? Legalizing Pedophilia

By Kathleen Knowles

Did you ever think the day would come when some in this country would not only consider but attempt to have pedophilia legalized?  Whatever happened to protecting the two most vulnerable groups of society, the elderly and the children?  It is incomprehensible that anyone in their right mind would even begin to think pedophilia should be a legal practice.  Yet, that is exactly what is happening in this country.  The intelligent people in the United States must be asking each other, “Are we nuts?”

Let’s consider for a moment that children have very limited knowledge as to what is good for them.  Do the sick people who believe pedophilia should be legalized think a 10-year-old, a 7-year-old, or a 5-year-old has the maturity to understand what these sickos want to do to them? Most kids in these age brackets can’t even dress themselves or tie their shoes, let alone have the slightest idea what sex is about, and they shouldn’t.  Nor should they be put in the position of submitting to something they can’t possibly understand or be subjected to the harm it will do to them.

Do we really want to subject these children to the sick fantasies of these people?  As a parent, most men and women will do everything they can to prevent their children from harm.  Yet, pedophiles want to do unspeakable things to their own children.  They could care less about the physical and mental damage this could do to a five or 10-year-old.  All they care about is fulfilling their sick fantasies about having sex with children.  They shouldn’t even be allowed near a child, let alone be allowed to have and raise them.

Instead of allowing these sickos to influence the most liberal of state governments, everyone should be voting any politician out of office who even gives an inkling he or she thinks pedophilia should be accepted.

It is time to make sure the children of this country are protected from people who consider pedophilia acceptable.  To do otherwise will certainly answer the question, “Are We Nuts?”
