In total, seven teams from the Big Ten made the 2026 NCAA Softball Tournament.
The Wisconsin Badgers may have an overall losing record in the tournament, but that doesn’t mean things can’t change.
Now, more than ever, the Badgers have the national media on their side as they look to shock the world and take down No. 2 Texas to advance to the Super Regionals.
“I don’t think there’s a team hotter in the country right now than the Badgers within their belief and their bats,” Sydney Supple said.
Supple covers NCAA softball for both the Big Ten Network and SiriusXM.
Knowing the Longhorns await, Wisconsin couldn’t have asked for a bigger vote of confidence.
Neither Baylor nor Wagner is the scariest team in the world, but Yvette Healy knows she can’t look ahead of them, otherwise the Badgers won’t even have a chance to send home the defending National Champions.
Big Ten Softball later posted an extended video with Supple taking a deep dive on the Badgers’ season and their postseason outlook.
