Where Wisconsin's class of 2027 ranks after flipping Iowa State LB

The Wisconsin Badgers football program added a talented three-star linebacker late Wednesday night.

6-foot-2, 210-pound Wisconsin native, Keaton Wollan, officially flipped his commitment from Iowa State to the Badgers.

Luke Fickell managed to do it again as Wisconsin now has recruited the most in-state players (nine) in any class since 2011.

Wollan is the team’s 13th commitment as the Badgers maintain a top 15 ranking for their class of 2027.

According to 247Sports, Wollan’s commitment places Wisconsin at No. 15. While they had previously been ranked higher and closer to the top 10, it’s incredible to still see them among the top teams in the nation halfway through the month of May.

“Staying Home!” Wollan posted on May 13 as he had previously committed to the Cyclones back on April 21. Ultimately, it didn’t take too long for Wisconsin to have its way and flip the Amery native.

Officially, Wollan is the No. 70 linebacker in the class, but is Wisconsin’s No. 8-ranked recruit in the class of 2027.
