Who's ready for outdoor live music? Here’s your guide to a Green Bay summer crammed with concert series

In the words of Chandler Bing, “Could there BE any more music this summer?”

Green Bay and the surrounding communities never disappoint when it comes to making the most out of summer by hosting outdoor concert series nearly every day of the week. You’ll find them in parks, along the water, by vineyards, in beer gardens and every place in between.

The coolest part of all that warm-weather music? The vast majority of it is free.

So as you map out your summer plans, save room for some tunes and a cold one. Here’s our annual roundup of who’s playing where. Happy listening!

AT NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS

Rockin’ in Josten

When/where: 6-8:30 p.m. Mondays at Josten Park, 2280 Town Hall Road, Bellevue. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. No smoking or vaping. Concessions on site. Cost: Free.

Tunes on Tuesdays

When/where: 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Vickery Village Pavilion, 1749 Riverside Drive, Suamico. Rain or shine. No carry-ins; food, wine, beer, mixed drinks sold by Chives Restaurant. Parking behind Four Way and Spork. Cost: Free.

Ashwaubenon Concerts in the Park

When/where: 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays at Klipstine Park, 900 Anderson Drive, Ashwaubenon. Concessions sold on site by community groups. Food drive for St. John Lutheran Church food pantry on July 16; $1 ice cream sundaes on July 30. Picnic tables available or bring a chair or blanket. Cost: Free.

Food Truck Rally Concerts

When/where: 5-8 p.m. Thursdays at Ashwaubomay Park, 2881 S. Broadway. Picnic tables available or bring a chair or blanket. Cost: Free.

Rock the Commons

When/where: Howard Commons Activity Complex amphitheater, 550 Commons Place, Howard. Food trucks. Beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages sold at the Howard Commons biergarten. Cost: Free.

Grooves in the ‘Garten

When/where: 5-8 p.m. Thursdays at Howard Commons Activity Complex biergarten, 550 Commons Place, Howard. Biegarten open 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with beverages and light snacks. Pizzas, ice cream and snacks at concession stand. Cost: Free.

Sunset Sips

When/where: 5-8:30 p.m. at Heritage Hill State Historical Park, 2640 S. Webster Ave., Allouez. Each night highlights beer and wine from a different local brewery and winery. Soda, water and snacks available for purchase from the bar. Cost: Free.

IN DOWNTOWN GREEN BAY

Green Bay City Band

When/where: 7 p.m. Wednesdays at St. James Park on Monroe Avenue in downtown Green Bay. It’s the 122nd season for the 40-member band. Greg Sauve directs. Some seating available or bring your own. Concession stand with popcorn, candy and drinks. Rain date is Thursdays. Cost: Free.

Wednesdays on Walnut

When/where: 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays in The Truck Yard food truck park next to The Tarlton Theatre, 405-409 W. Walnut St., Green Bay. Food trucks and craft beer. No carry-ins. Bring your own lawn chair. Cost: Free but donations appreciated.

In the Yard

When/where: 7-9 p.m. Thursdays in The Truck Yard food truck park next to The Tarlton Theatre. Food trucks and outdoor bar open at 6 p.m. No carry-ins. Bring your own lawn chair. Pets on a leash welcome. Rain site is The Tarlton. Cost: Free but donations appreciated.

Fridays on the Fox

When/where: 6-9 p.m. Fridays on CityDeck along the Fox River in downtown Green Bay. Some seating available but good idea to bring a lawn chair. Food and drink for sale from Hagemeister Park beginning at 5 p.m. Cost: Free.

Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series

When/where: 4-6:30 p.m. Sundays at Leicht Memorial Park in downtown Green Bay unless otherwise noted. Local and regional touring acts representing a diverse span of genres. Cost: Free.

IN DE PERE

De Pere Beer Gardens

When/where: 4:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Nelson Family Pavilion at Voyageur Park, De Pere. De Pere Parks, Recreation & Forestry’s popular event becomes a weekly happening this year. Craft beer, hard seltzer, food trucks, outdoor family games. Proceeds benefit De Pere parks. Cost: Free.

Knights on the Fox

When/where: 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays along the Fox River at St. Norbert College, De Pere. Named one of the 10 best outdoor concert series in the country in 2023, the series returns for its 22nd season. Bring a chair or blanket. Picnicking begins at 5 p.m. Carry in your own picnic or purchase sandwiches, snacks and drinks from Phil’s inside Campus Center. Thompson Marina docks open; De Pere locks close at 8:30 p.m. Parking in the lots off Third Street; accessible parking near Old St. Joseph Church. Weather cancellations at snc.edu/go/kotf by 3 p.m. day of show. Cost: Free.

Music on the Patio

When/where: 5-8 p.m. Thursdays on the patio at Mulva Cultural Center, 221 S. Broadway, De Pere. No carry-ins. Food and beverages sold on site. Cost: Free.

De Pere City Band

When/where: 7-9 p.m. Thursdays at Voyageur Park, De Pere. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Gary Wieseckel conducts. Cost: Free.

AT WINERIES AND BREWERIES

Wine Down Concert Series

When/where: 6-9 p.m. Thursdays (and one Wednesday concert on June 25) at LedgeStone Vineyards & Gnarly Cedar Brewing, Greenleaf. For general admission lawn seating, bring your own blanket or lawn chair. Reserved seating in the stage right patio area includes a dedicated server and table. Kids younger than 14 are admitted free with a parent. No food or beverage carry-ins. Food and beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages are available for sale onsite.

Cost: Prices vary by seating and act. Tickets on sale at ledgestonevineyards.xyz.

Jazzin’ by the Vines

When/where: 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at LedgeStone Vineyards & Gnarly Cedar Brewing. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Reservations available on the patio. Wine, beer and other beverages sold on site. No carry-in food or drink. Cost: Free.

Live in the Garden

When/where: 7-10 p.m. Fridays (with a couple of other bonus days) out in the beer garden at Badger State Brewing Co., 990 Tony Canadeo Run, Green Bay. Food trucks. Cost: Free.

AT GREEN BAY BOTANICAL GARDEN

Employment Resource Group Grand Concert Series

When/where: 7-9 p.m. Fridays at Billie Kress Amphitheater in Schneider Family Grand Garden at Green Bay Botanical Garden, 2600 Larsen Road. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. Bring your own lawn chair, blanket or picnic basket. No beverage carry-ins. Beverages sold on site, along with light concessions.

Cost: $50 and up, with discounted tickets for GBBG members, at gbbg.org. Tickets are $5 more at the door.

Sanimax Concert Series

When/where: 6-8 p.m. Thursdays at Billie Kress Amphitheater in Schneider Family Grand Garden at Green Bay Botanical Garden. Bring your own picnic, lawn chair or blanket. Chairs can be set up beginning at 4:30 p.m. No beverage carry-ins. Beverages sold on site, along with light concessions.

Cost: $30 family (two adults and children 17 and younger in the household or grandchildren), $15 adults, $13 ages 62 and older, military and students with school ID, $5 ages 3 to 17, free for GBBG members and ages 2 and younger. Tickets sold in advance at gbbg.org or at the door, if still available.

AT TITLETOWN

Acoustic Lunch

When/where: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Fridays on 46 Below patio at Titletown District, Ashwaubenon. Enjoy takeout lunch from 46 Below or other Titletown restaurants. No carry-ins. Cost: Free.

Titletown Beats

When/where: 6-9:30 p.m. at Titletown District. August concert date and national act TBA. Cost: Free.

July 19: Jess McCartney, with opener 7000apart

AT BAY BEACH AMUSEMENT PARK

When/where: 5-8 p.m. Tuesdays at Bay Beach Amusement Park, Green Bay. Concerts are in partnership with Noble Roots Brewing Co., which will be selling beer and seltzers. Bring chairs or blankets. Cost: Free.
