When will Jacob Misiorowski pitch next for the Milwaukee Brewers?

The 2026 MLB All-Star Game will take place July 14 and, though Milwaukee Brewers ace pitcher Jacob Misiorowski is one of the event’s big attractions, we know he’s not going to appear in the game.

Initially replaced on the National League roster because he was lined up to pitch Sunday, July 12, Misiorowski has encountered some fatigue and didn’t make his final start one day before the all-star break. Either way, appearing in the Midsummer Classic in Philadelphia wasn’t going to happen.

When will Jacob Misiorowski pitch again?

Brewers manager Pat Murphy told reporters that Misiorowski would likely throw again Tuesday – the day of the All-Star Game – but wouldn’t pitch the first series out of the all-star break at home against Miami.

That means the earliest Milwaukee would send Misiorowoski back to the mound would be Monday, July 20, when the New York Mets come to town.

Could we see a Freddy Peralta/Jacob Misiorowski battle in that series? Peralta is listed on the Mets official website as the projected starter for the game, but it doesn’t appear the team has officially announced it.

How worried should Brewers fans be about Misiorowski missing a start?

It’s always a little concerning when a top pitcher misses a start with “fatigue,” but the Brewers haven’t given any indication there’s cause for alarm. In fact, if the Brewers wanted to give Misiorowski some added rest, this was the perfect time to do it. Consider this:

What are Jacob Misiorowski’s stats this season?

Misiorowski has a 10-4 record and 1.62 ERA over 18 starts, with a 0.757 WHIP and 167 strikeouts in 111 innings. The Brewers have gone 9-3 in his starts since May began. He leads the league in ERA, strikeouts, WHIP, FIP, ERA+ and even complete-game shutouts, since he has one (tied with five others).

Is Jacob Misiorowski still the favorite to win National League Cy Young?

For now, it seems we have a two-horse race between Misiorowski and Phillies ace and All-Star Game starter Cristopher Sánchez in the National League Cy Young chase.

FanDuel puts Misiorowski’s odds at negative -550, with Sánchez behind him at plus-500.

ESPN’s awards tracker gives Misiorowski negative-450 odds to win the award, followed by Sánchez (+550) and then Chris Sale and Zack Wheeler both a distant third at 22-1.

FanGraphs likewise gives the nod to Miz, as does a host of other betting sites.
