The Wisconsin Badgers open the Big Ten Conference portion of their schedule by hosting the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Camp Randall Stadium.
The Badgers will be looking to rebound after finishing their nonconference schedule at 2-1 with a 38-14 blowout loss to Alabama on Sept. 13 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
There were some troubling statistics for the Badgers in that loss as they allowed 382 yards passing, averaged just 2.7 yards per rushing attempt, had only one play on offense of 20-plus yards, didn’t force any turnovers and allowed an average of 11.2 yards on first downs.

Wisconsin vs Maryland predictions, picks, odds
Mark Stewart: Last week wasn’t pretty for the Badgers, but it did prepare them for the elevation of play they’ll experience in the Big Ten. That will benefit them this week. Expect the offense to continue to progress and the defense to look more like the unit we saw during the first two weeks of the season. Wisconsin 24, Maryland 13
John Steppe: Wisconsin certainly had plenty of flaws on both sides of the ball in its loss to Alabama, and those flaws could haunt the Badgers again later this season amid a challenging schedule. But Maryland is a far cry away from Alabama or even the top half of the Big Ten. This is a team that Wisconsin should defeat comfortably. Wisconsin 27, Maryland 13
