Unidentified skeletal remains found in northern Wisconsin

Police are investigating unidentified skeletal remains found at a northern Wisconsin home, the Forest County Sherriff’s Office confirmed in a press release.

The human remains are located at a residence in the 5200 block of East Silver Lake Road in Laona, according to the June 4 press release.

The sheriff’s office said there is no danger to the public at this time.

The Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, the Laona Police Department, the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Forest County Highway Department are assisting the sheriff’s office in this ongoing investigation.
