It’s no secret that Tyrese Haliburton loves his hometown of Oshkosh, Wis.
He’s hosted basketball camps, made a $3-million donation to Oshkosh North athletics and even has a colorway of his signature shoe based on Oshkosh North.
On Monday, April 13, there became another connection between Haliburton and Oshkosh as a two-year partnership with Oshkosh B’gosh was announced. He’s the first multi-year professional basketball ambassador for the brand.
“Oshkosh has always been part of my story,” Haliburton said in a press release. “Growing up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the brand was everywhere. It represents home, family, and childhood. Signing with the namesake brand makes this moment even more special. It truly feels full-circle, and I’m excited to help inspire the next generation to believe in themselves and chase their dreams.”
Oshkosh B’gosh was founded in 1895 in Oshkosh and has been a staple for childhood clothing.
With the partnership, Oshkosh B’gosh is launching a campaign to highlight and celebrate Haliburton as the ultimate “Oshkosh Kid” with content that goes back to the roots of his hometown of Oshkosh. Haliburton and Oshkosh B’gosh will also work with the Haliburton Family Fondation as it works to build on its mission of supporting and uplifting children.
According to the press release, Carter’s Charitable Foundation made the first $150,000 investment “in this effort” by an organization.
