CARSON − The Portage County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two people in connection with a suspicious death reported July 21.
Deputies and emergency medical services responded to a report of a person in distress and suffering from severe trauma at 10:57 a.m. July 21. When they arrived they found Jeanette Pientka, 57, of Carson, had died.
The Sheriff’s Office said in a news release July 22 that the suspicious death was a homicide and police had two people in custody pending charges. Their names have not yet been released.
The investigation into Pientka’s death is ongoing, according to the July 22 release.
