This week’s Tight End University, which is being held in Nashville, Tennessee, will include two Green Bay Packers. Tucker Kraft and John FitzPatrick were invited and will attend the annual tight end summit, according to the organization’s social media.
Now in its fifth season, Tight End University was founded by George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen to bring the Tight End community together for an immersive program during the offseason.

Attendees can bond, collaborate with, and learn amongst their peers while participating in a variety of activities, including film study, on-field drills, recovery, rehabilitation, and more.
Kraft is one of the best young ascending tights in the league after taking a sizable step forward in his second season, in which he caught 47 passes for 707 yards and seven touchdowns, but he is still trying to improve.
During mandatory minicamp, Kraft made it known that he wants to get better at separation against man-to-man coverage and reading coverage schemes pre-snap to help power an improvement as a downfield receiver in 2025.
Meanwhile, FitzPatrick was an in-season pickup by the Packers off of the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad. A sixth-round pick by Atlanta in 2022, FitzPatrick appeared in nine games for Green Bay last season, logging 73 snaps on offense and 50 on special teams. Primarily used as a run-blocker, he caught only one pass for two yards.
The Packers re-signed FitzPatrick during the offseason, indicating they liked what they saw out of him in 2024. Watching and picking the brains of former and current tight ends should help FitzPatrick, who will be competing for a roster spot at training camp.
For both Kraft and FitzPatrick, Tight End University offers a valuable opportunity to sharpen their skills, learn from some of the best in the game, and take another step forward heading into the 2025 season.
