Town of Lyndon crash leaves driver with severe injuries

TOWN OF LYNDON – A driver suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday evening, May 13, after a pickup truck rolled over on State Highway 57 in the Town of Lyndon, authorities said.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received multiple calls about the single-vehicle crash at 5:08 p.m. southbound on State 57, north of County Highway N. Emergency crews from Cascade, Waldo and Sheboygan County responded.

Investigators said the southbound pickup was attempting to move from the right lane to the left lane when the driver lost control.

The driver then overcorrected, sending the truck into the median, where it rolled over.

The driver, who was the only occupant, was ejected from the vehicle.

Driver airlifted with life-threatening injuries

Cascade First Responders and Orange Cross Ambulance provided initial care at the scene.

A helicopter later flew the driver to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing. The driver’s name has not been released pending notification of family members.

Agencies respond to Sheboygan County crash scene

The Cascade Police Department said it was assisted by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the Sheboygan County Highway Department, Waldo Fire Department, Cascade Fire Department, Cascade First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance, Theda Star/Flight for Life and the sheriff’s office communications center.
