The Milwaukee-area housing market remains tighter than the statewide average, according to a report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association.

Milwaukee County’s housing inventory — the number of homes available on the market — was just 3.2 months in August, according to a WRA report released Sept. 25. That’s a market that favors sellers and sits just above half the six-month inventory threshold that marks a balanced market, the report said.

The Milwaukee area is also home to some of the older housing stock in the state.
